Entry to the Swan Shopping Centre’s 620 space roof top car park is from the Southampton Road roundabout only (please see attached pdf document for car park locations and more information). Blenheim Road is the car park’s only exit point with Pay on Foot parking on the roof top car park.
This means motorists will need to take a ticket at the entrance barrier, keep the tickets until they return to the car park and pay at a pay station just before leaving.
Disabled Parking spaces are available on the Swan Centre roof top but the new scheme means that it will not be possible for these to be free and the charges will apply.
However, blue badge holders will continue to benefit from free parking at the other town car parks where pay and display parking will operate.
The Wells Place car park is located beside Tesco at ground level and below the cinema/bowls complex, both entry and exit to this car park is from the Southampton Road roundabout. It is not pay on foot parking but continues with the pay and display system. With the exception of the Swan Centre roof top, all other town centre car parks will continue with pay and display parking.
