Council Staff ask members of the public for their ideas and priorities for transport improvements in central Eastleigh at the staffed exhibition held in the Swan Centre during the Spring 2009. The information gathered will help guide spending priorities and  inform Planning Strategy for the Town Centre

Reconstruction of Southampton Road – During 2008 Hampshire County Council  invested £1 million in the Highway infrastructure of the Town Centre rebuilding the roads and footpaths between the Twyford Road roundabout and Wide Lane.

Major Planning Applications

  • Travis Perkins Site – Erection of 148 residential units, with associated car parking, open space, landscaping and highway works.  Outline approval subject to signing of legal agreement. 

 

  • 35-37 Market Street – Rear extension, alterations to roof and shop fit out for national optician - work commenced on site. Blenheim Road Redevelopment

 

 

  • The Bridge Education Centre, Newtown Road - Hampshire County Council are currently refurbishing and extending this centrally located education and health facility. When completed the accommodation will be provided for 48  key stage 3 and 4 pupils and a suite of consulting rooms for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health service at an estimated cost of £2.3West Elevation of The Bridge Education Centre million.
