New Hotel proposed for Eastleigh

An exciting proposal for a new hotel scheme is planned for Eastleigh town centre.

The proposed development will be on land owned by the Council between Southampton Road and Upper Market Street that was previously the site of the Earth Bar. The proposed scheme, which is being developed by Cordwell Property Group Ltd in partnership with Travelodge, will include a sixty bed hotel together with retail space on the ground floor.

A public exhibition of the scheme is being held at Wessex House, Upper Market Street on Tuesday 5 October from 10am to 5pm.  Local people are welcome to attend and give their thoughts and views on the scheme.

Council Leader Keith House says “This is an exciting proposal that will make a significant contribution to the Council‘s exciting vision to further improve Eastleigh town centre.  It’s great news that another major national brand is looking to invest in our town Centre”.
